I helped a friend try to tune his car recently with an APS intake. We couldn't get it to run. Tried it on my car, it ran horribly as well. Stay away from it.

imho...

intake on a WRX = waste of your $$$

there are other, real mods you can do that will benefit the performance instead of hurting it...

Well, some of us have to run an aftermarket intake...

I have the Perrin on my car, and it runs fine. No lean problems like many other models. It doesn't have the curve just before the MAF sensor like a lot of other designs. Doesn't effect my AFR like the others.

Jeez Cosmo, how often do you change your intake. You have one old pic of the Perrin on, one new pic w/ the AEM one on, now back to the Perrin? What gives?

I had the Perrin. Put the AEM on when I put my FMIC on because the Perrin wouldn't fit. Got rid of the AEM and made the Perrin fit.

Did you hack the Perrin? Does it still work fine?

No. It was always that short. They sell a short and a cold air version. I had to modify the mounting bracket to get it to fit.
