Anyone have this? - New actuator

I was reading about them and it looked interesting, but i wanted to ask if anyone has used them or if they are really even necessary. my car is tuned already (2005 wrx), but if the factory actuator is a piece of junk it might be worthwhile. I dont want to increase my boost levels from the tuned levels, i just dont want it to be falling off due to the stock actuator.

any suggestions or just more information would be great, thanks!

here's the description from the link i included:

Boost Control Actuator
An AVO actuator endows the factory turbo with a more solid boost response, while ensuring that boost is maintained at a preset level, resulting in increased torque and HP. Where the factory actuator drops boost as the revs rise, the AVO actuator delivers constant boost all the way to redline and beyond. An extremely safe, reliable and effective means of raising your boost level. This actuator is for the US domestic market Subaru models ONLY.

I have the AVO WG actuator. It does leave me with more solid boost. My bost gauge just doesnt fluctuate much anymore now. It hits taget boost and stays with it. Good buy but it does take the computer a while to learn how to use it.
I am selling one for a VF39 on nasioc if youre interested.

Almost clean wrx...

I thought boost tapered due to the lack of ability in the factory turbocharger...

No boosts tapers because of the lack of strength of the wastegate actuator. That is why some people do a spring mod by adding an additional spring to the wastegate arm to strengthen it.

It's not the only reason but it is one. You still have the boost solenoid as well.
