Kawboyz its mostly correct with that setup. You can run a bigger TMIC and be good for 350. And the transmission will be fine as long as you treat it with respect, no slamming gears, no hard launches or dropping the clutch. Look around on the forum, there are members with some nice setups around. Just build the car in stages and with the right parts and things will be much cheaper and easier in the long run.

To get to 350whp youd need a drop in air filter, silencer delete... a BOV to safely hold the higher psi
None of those things are needed. The stock intake and bpv are fine. Other than that, your list is fine. I'd also recommend headers, external wastegate, and meth injection. Just those 3 mods will take you a long way.
To get to 350whp youd need a drop in air filter, silencer delete, turbo back exhaust, bigger fuel pump, bigger injectors, an uppipe for safety, a bigger turbo, front mount intercooler, a BOV to safely hold the higher psi, EM and a good tune. And thats just the motor aspect of it. Youd also need a built transmission, something like either a 6 speed STI swap or PPG gears. Also you would need a better suspension setup if you wanted to keep that monster on the road during hard turns and such. But i say if thats what you want, go for it.
Huge thing missing from that list and thats bigger brakes
but yeah, as already said, 400whp will be hard to maintain for a DD, WHEN i get my WRX i'm only shooting for close to 300whp.
invidia UP and DP
COBB AP
silencer delete
K&N drop-in filter
and later upgraded TMIC, injectors and a 16G turbo
That will be a nice fast, crisp streetable WRX there. 400whp is pretty high...
i agree with oldfartracer. 300whp is more realistic. i should be at 270whp once i get protuned. and my mod proccess has been over the past couple of years. like everybody else said"be carefull with the tranny". good luck
^ put on your flame suit. I would agree with you, but I was aready told that I was worng on this subject.
I already know you can't argue with Mosc but I don't care. The roads we drive up here definately put your stock brakes to the limit. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> waits for Mosc's smart as@ remark! Besides your telling me your stock brakes do the job more than well enough with some heavy spirited driving.

Yep, my brakes are up to the task, they are no long stock. Rotors, pads, lines, and fuild are all upgraded, a long with my rubber. I just need to get some better ducting to fronts and they should be good.
