3" turbo inlet

JSC is now offering their Garrett GT gurbos with 3" inlets. is there a significan performance advantage to a 3" inlet on a turbo that is not going to make more than 325HP? i can the advantage in a high power situation 400+...

a 3 inch inlet requires an angle mount turbo setup, this adds to the cost, i am pushing about 400-420 with a similar turbo to an fp green mounted in the stock position with a silicone turbo inlet pipe, some comp wheels get a small benefit from the bellmouth inlet but it is hardly noticeable on a dyno or in the car. if looks are what you want then go for the angle mount with a 3 inch inlet, it looks tuff, i preferred the stock look so insurance is cheaper and the rta dont look to hard. (i just tell them i got exhaust, intercooler and cold air)

^^^SAME!

and perrin now makes a 3" turbo inlet system allowing a 3" turbo in the factory location. this is how i would mount mine.
