On which fuel? With a good driver on 100 octane I say high 11s is reachable.

if your not running at least mid 12's you need to work on your driving skills, high 11's I think is possible but my question is what kind of clutch are you running and how long do you think it will last w/ that much whp?

I'm pretty sure an engine swap to the STi would make a world of difference as well. *Sheesh*
I'm convinced the large EJ25 engine, although not legal in many racing leagues, has much more "tuning" potential than the smaller EJ20. This is one of the reasons why i choose the STi over the wrx in the long run. Plus, few people will say that less than 10k will give you the kind of perfection one finds in an STi. In my opinion, it sounds as if someone hasn't actually taken the time to drive an STi. I felt the same way about it, until i actually drove one.

"I hear Buschur Racing does WRX UTECs now ... oh buddy!"

And how long will his tranny last?

Yeah I've always said if you have the money to get the STi in the beginning, then do it, hands down, don't get a WRX and mod because you get more bang for the buck w/ the STi. That is at least in my opinion and I have strong evidance to back that up.

Trust me, if the circumstances/ timing was different, I would have definately gotten an STi. The truth is, my car died and at the time all that was available in my price range was an RSX-S, GTI, and the SRT-4 was just about to come out... The WRX was the logical choice due to the fact that I wanted a turbo engine and deep down inside I dislike FWD.

Right now I am running stock internals, tranny, and clutch. This is precisely why I have not run the car at the track yet. I have plans for a PAR gear set, exedy clutch, and BUILT 2.5 USDM block to be in by March. After that its time to up the boost, get a killer tune at Turbo XS in Maryland, and hit the track. I am hoping to hit around 400 WHP on this turbo w/ ~110 octane and ~26 psi or so... I am pleased to know that you all think the car is capable of 11's as-is... of course, that is with a pretty hard launch I assume, and I won't be doing that untill the motor/ tranny is done.

My goal in the end is to hit low 11's with the 18G maxed out... do you think I could do better???

BAH, I have driven an sti and no doubt if i had the chance I would trade my car in for an STI. But the thing is Im 16 and I couldnt talk my dad into gettin the sti, not everyone can afford it. I love how you could just slap a FPGREEN on the STI and your sure to see 400+WHP. But im dissapointed cause i have seen too many 450 hp sti's run 12's.....
