275whp How would you do it?

If you wanted to get to roughly 275 whp what mods would you do and what mods would you leave out? To further define this question things like daily driveability, engine safety, and cost should be accounted for in your answer. If you feel like it put things in order and decide what you would buy first and what you'd do last.

My list would go something like this (i'll put dollars later)

Intake Silencer Delete Elbow w/ K&N Filter ($80)
Cobb Accessport ($595)
Up-Pipe/ Down-pipe combo from Helix w/ high flow cat to replace stocks ($600 catted, $450 w/out cat)
Borla cat back ($479)
Greddy Boost and EGT both electric ($270 total)
Walboro Fuel Pump ($100)
STI injectors (565cc, 650cc) ($425, $649)
VF22 turbo or vf34 for streetability ($599, $699)

Grand Total: High- $3,472
Low- $2,998

WideBand 02 AFR Gauge- ($440) would only really make sense with a AccessTuner or UTEC or some tuneable ECU/piggyback

Here is the cheap way I would do it...

Cobb Reflash
Helix Downpipe
Catback of choice
Gut stock uppipe or get STi uppipe or Perrin uppipe
STi Injectors
Walboro Fuel pump
VF34
Used TXS V2 TMIC or somethign equivalent (Optional)
Good dyno tune

Expensive way:
UTEC
Perrin Uppipe
TurboXS turboback exhaust (or other equivalent)
APS D/R500 FMIC
VF22 or FP18G or PE1818
770 cc injectors
Walboro fuel pump
Defi, Greddy or Omori boost, egt and oil pressure gauges
TXS Wideband A/F tuner
Perrin Fuel Rails
Dyno Tune

Just my .02

The 18g is overkill. I say VF34 is perfect, or VF22 for a little more top end...(the 22 is cheeeeap as hell...@ ~$500  )

Yeh it seems like the natural evolution will be that prices come down as more options are being created. Although to make this kinda power for around 3000 doesn't seem too outrageous.

It isnt that ridiculous but you dont have an intercooler listed and that is the most expensive item. Also you probably have to pay for install unless you do it all yourself.

Yeh I was thinking you could do it without an intercooler but maybe its not possible I am assuming that you'd be installing all this stuff yourself and most likely not all at once.

I've heard you can get 285hp from just an intake, full turbo back exhaust, and the cobb accesport.

You need a larger intercooler if you are going to raise the boost with a new turbo.

285 HP at the crank maybe. Not at the wheels. Big difference.

If you look at that link you posted and look at the HP and TQ maps those #'s are all taken from the wheels. The horespower is at like 220.

That's coming from Cobb's site. You don't think they would make claims that are higher than normal in order to sell their own products, do you?
