I have read about the 19t compressor kit and have been pretty interested in doing the swap because you get almost stock spool but it's capable of 270whp/tq
While browsing around looking at 19t stuff I stumbled across this!
If the 19t compressor is capable of 270whp with tdo4 spool would that make this capable of 290whp with tdo4 spool characteristics? I know with bigger compressors the spool will be slightly delayed but it seems like a tdo4 anything would spool faster than a tdo5 anything... And the best part is you are only spending $300 on a turbo instead of $600-$1000 for a new 16g or 20g or gt30r
Has anyone ever heard of or tried this? I would like links to any info that you know of regarding dyno and 1/4 mile of the 19t and 20t (especially 20t)
I assumed I would have to get injectors at least and maybe a fuel pump, I have an exhaust and intake. It would be sweet to make 280-290 hp with just a compressor upgrade... Would almost make the vf39 upgrade pointless
I have the cobb accessport tuner V3. If you want some quick horsepower. It works real nice plusssss all the other cool stuff it does.. I also have a 91 eagle talon tsi with 16g ported turbo, full 3" exhaust, big fuel pump, injectors, FMI, cold air intake, in her glory days she was running high 12's in a 1'4 mile. I have the apexi safc and that car was tuned at beyond redline in Wisconsin. 16g turbos are real nice once you have them set up right. It was like wwwwwhat turbo lag.
Yeah I had a couple of dsms before my wrx, I had a 2g with a big16g with 650cc injectors and meth injection and all the other goodies. Ran 22psi and it was fast as balls, the other was a 1g that was hot pink and had a big 16g and all the goodies, that one wasn't as fast as my 2g though
