You need a new tuner. A 16G should put in the 280 whp range, the 18G should be in 320whp range.

i'm starting to think the same. anyone know of any reputable tuners in CO? i'd much prefer to get a dyno tune than do an internet tune.

Well I used Super Rupair in Boulder, when Harvey was still doing the dyno tunes. He was real good. Ryan has taken over now for them, not too sure on his experience but I haven't heard anything bad. Bit more of a drive for you though.

In Aurora there is a shop called Speedy Roopair that I have heard good things about as well.

A good tuner is about $200-300 an hour, add more for a dyno tune.

wow, well my tune probably took an hour. my tuner charges a flat rate of $300 for a dyno tune. i'd be really intereted to go up against another similar stg 2 around here to see what's up. i know my numbers are ridiculously low, but i also know that numbers don't mean shit. it sure does feel fast.

i'm glad you agree. there are so many many many posts on this site and others where people are asking "what numbers should i be getting" or "what should my times" be or others talking shit on peoples numbers or being super impressed with them. i say take it to the track and prove those numbers. bench racing, tisk tisk.

Ok....I hate to bring up a old thread but i've got to narrow down my choices.

www.speedelement.com - MHI TD05H 18G 8cm2 Turbo: Subaru

Forced Performance TD06 18G Turbo

The second one is a 20g. I'm not sure why it's listed as a 18g. It's in my price range and i like the "finalism" of it.

If you are still looking for the higher of the HP, you will want the 20G, Im sure you now that. It will be a more laggy with it being the TD06 housing and you also having the 2.0. If you dont mind the lag and want the kick and higher end that 20G doesnt seem bad then.

Not to be an Ass but your tuner has shits for brains. Stock wrx already has about 170WHP, stage 2 will put it in the 220WHP range. Upgrading the turbo especially with an EVO III 16G will make it 280WHP+ (270WHP is the lowest I've seen on a low reading dyno, conservative tune) But it all relatively comes down to the tune and how psi your pushing. 18G is capable 300WHP+ easily.
