Springs will last a lot longer than you will own the car. Don't look at them as a wear item.

I tend to disagree, depends how long the struts have been going.... some ppl just RIDE on the springs...

I replaced the frnt springs on my Speed not too long ago and can feel a little difference.... Placebo... maybe

^ that's just because Speeds suck
The ones I have in the shed I believe have 20k on them...says the original owner. And I only had the front ones on my car for less than a month till I switched them out with another brand(just my fronts). I never installed the rears. Just took them out of the box to look at them.

Now, now, now... Don't make me get those guys over here. !Notfunny!

But I agree, stock speed suspension blows goats, but was the same with my T-Bird..... Might just be Ford products

Looks like I'll have to take you up on the springs, I think that would be my gateway for what I'm trying to accomplish. Now I need to look for a used STI up-pipe or something else. If the 07 STi springs will give me what I"m looking for with the KYB GR-2 struts that will be golden. What top hats should get?

What would the Group-N give me over stock? Other than price I can assume?

Stiffer bushings, meaning less play than the stock ones. They cost a little more than OEM though. These are the same parts Subaru uses for Group N race cars.

Thanks I'll definately look into those, doesn't hurt to add a little better handling to the rex over stock
