That interesting to know about your injector duty cycles. I noticed that with the new Stage 2, 3.10 map my injectors also went to 110% in some spots while logging. The old map would hit 100% but not go beyond that. It's interesting that Cobb would max out the injectors like that. It is a really nice map though. Really smooth.

I've been looking at a few turbos also after test driving an E85 STI making about 385whp. It was insane and got me wanting more power.

I think the Tomei is likely overkill for what you want, or what you think you want. Those turbos are capable of block killing power and I've read a FMIC should be considered b/c they get so hot. Take that with a grain of salt b/c I read it on the internet.

If you're looking for nice power you can drive everyday without killing your block and trans, consider a Blouch 16GXT. It's affordable and will have more low-end than the VF series turbos. The 16G is a nice match up to our little 2.0's.

If you're looking to make big power like 300WHP or more, I'd reconsider. It the end it could be more money and headache than you're willing to go through.

I just saw your questions on my oil pressure too. At idle it's about 30psi in winter and drops to about 22psi in the summer when it's really hit. I think that might be b/c it's so close to the turbo. While driving it's around 80. At cold start up it's about 95 and then it bounces around for a few minutes until it's warm.

As an FYI, here is the STI I drove. It was a killer set up but the E85 smelled bad under the hood and in the car while driving. After my troubles this summer with my turbo Mustang smelling up garage I knew better than to bring home a car that smells like gas in the garage.

It was a stock turbo with a EWG.

P&L Exhaust

It had a strong E85 tune and hauled ass. I was a little scared of the mileage too since the 07 blocks are a little weaker than others. Nice car though.

I thought so too. I'm about to roll 50k this week, after almost 6 and a half years. Driven everyday, well at least M-F.

The 07's blocks aren't weak, it's the pistons. Even at that, I don't think they are that weak.

Its not like the 3rd Gens got a magical shortblock either....until Subaru stops putting the hypereutectic alloy pistons in the short blocks then the pistons will always be a means of a limitation. E85 and meth could probably push the stock pistons a little harder because it cools the engine down. But, big numbers will always require forged pistons.
