02 WRX question.

Alright my car is bone stock other than a Fujita F5 short ram intake. I plan to boost my stock turbo with a blox manual controller. How much PSI is the stock turbo running, what is the max-safe limit and is boosting it 4 PSI safe for daily driving? I do get naughty and go really high RPMs at times.

^ He's right, without engine management, that boost controller should not be touching your car.

Stock boost is 13.5psi. 14.5psi with a turboback.

Check this out: Aftermarket Boost Control Solenoids This explains about boost controllers and why they are bad without some type of tune.

My .02:

I ran my 02' WRX with HKS up-pipe and HKS Downpipe matched with a Espiler JGT500 exhaust.
Engine management: Turbo XS Delta UTEC
Boost Controller: Blitz SBC iD III (electronic)

I ran 15.5psi max and played it safe. Had plenty of power for what I needed.

I don't get why people go with piggy backs and boost controllers on these cars when the stock ECU is better than any alternative short of an AEM EMS, Hydra, or MoTeC and can control boost just get a pro-tune and a 3-port BCS but to answer you question OP 18-20psi is the max anything more than that and your way outside of the efficiency range of the TD04-13T and your just making heat
