For a good while I was running a Cobb turbo back (bellmouth DP, metallic substrate cat & 3" SS) Sounded OK, deep rumble, but I wasn't modding just for sound. Later I added a Helix up-pipe & headers from gruppe-s so now I'm down to just one cat instead of 3 as stock. Along with vf34 & supporting fuel mods the things a beast now and sounds as wicked as it runs. Still not and don't want to be the loudest thing on the streets, but NOTHING else sounds as distinctive as this mutha. Heads rotate just to see what in the hell is making that sound like Petter on a road stage.

Isn't the Cobb DP a divorced wastegate, not bellmouth?

I got mine about a year ago (don't even ask how long it was backordered!) & if they offered a divorced one it was before my time.

3" TBE=LOUD. Most exhaust come with a silencer to quiet things down

My turbo's fixed and a lot better =)

On 1 of our Shop Subarus we run with a Tanabe Cat Back and A TurboXS Downpipe...Very low Key, and sounds very good...If you want quiet that equals the way to go.

On our Other Shop Subaru we run a Magnaflow Titanium Exhaust with a TurboXS DownPipe..The Magnaflow has a much wider diameter than most and is by far the loudest exhaust i have heard for a wrx.

The Helix is also pretty damn loud...Invidia isnt as loud, but ive never been impressed with their quality.
