The STi Limited models were actually only produced in 2007. There were only 800 made - 400 Urban Gray and 400 Satin White. And yep, they have the leather seats and a sunroof, whereas regular STis don't (at least from 2002-2007).
To answer your question though, if a 2002-2007 WRX (sedan or wagon) has the "Limited" package, it will have:
1. Leather interior (Anthracite Black or Desert Beige)
2. Power glass sunroof (tilt up, slide down and back, with sunshade)
3. All weather package: heated front seats with two settings, heated outside mirrors, front wiper de-icers
4. Optional automatic transmission
...unless it was specially ordered with those options or they were swapped in from another source by the owner.
And sorry, but I'm not too familiar with WRX or STi options on models earlier than 02 or newer than 08. Somebody else might wanna chime in here.
The 02-03 did not offer a factory sunroof. If there is a hole in the roof it was cut by an aftermarket place. From what I have read they have to cut thru all the cross bracing found in the roof, IDK if I'd want an 02-03 with a sunroof added to it personally. It seems it might compromise the body shell integrity.
Oh wow, I didn't know that... Was the Limited package available on the 02-03 or is that an 04-07 thing? If it was, do you know exactly what it consisted of? Maybe the info from my source was specific to 04-07.
The limited package was an 06+ thing. There was no limited for EJ205 WRX's. Leather seats were an aftermarket part. The sunroof was an option though 04-05 as were heated seats I believe...
The STi didn't have any of these options 04-06. In 07, there was the limited but that's a different story.
2004-2007 STi
- sunroof not optional
- leather not optional
- heated seats not optional
- fog lights not optional
- rear spoiler standard (park bench style)
2007 STi Limited
- sunroof standard
- leather standard
- heated seats standard
- fog lights standard
- rear spoiler standard (small lip style)
There was no leather option for 02-03 and foglights were standard on all bugeye models. The spoiler was optional on the sedan but standard on all Wagons 02-07.
04-05 foglights were standard on the WRX not available on the STI. As stated the sunroof and heated seats were Premium package only, meaning you couldn't order them seperately.
bleh no... Leather was never optional. It was standard on the limited versions but the others it was never a factory option. They make aftermarket parts that dealers will put in for sunroofs, leather seats, etc.
Alright, I give up Next time I'll spend a little extra time researching before I post something like that. Sorry, I was too busy clay-barring/waxing my car and installing my front lip last night. At least it sounds like most of the info is on the table now for whoever wants to know. Thanks for everyone's input.
basco is correct. The whole in your roof kj15991 was cut out by a body shop, not a Subaru build plant.
