WRX purchase inquiries

Hi a new potential wrx buyer here.
Im a complete noobie on subarus but i saved up enough money to buy this one,

1997 WRX - $7500 (Vancouver)

Is the price reasonable? Also are the 97 year wrx reliable? I looked at the high mile club but there were no 97 owners on the list...

Hard to answer any of your questions, since this car is a true Japanese import. Price comparisons are practically impossible and reliability is difficult to determine since these versions were not offered and are still not prevalent in North America.

However, I am drooling and it would be difficult to hold back on making an offer...I would be willing to make the purchase if I had an independent Subaru mechanic who was confident with Japanese spec cars.

Let us know what you decide to do!

Anyone else know anything about a JDM and stuff?

I don't really want to buy the car if 97 is a year that needs a lot of work done as I won't have enough money to do so...

That's low mileage for a 14yr old car. I'm with Matt

I'd scoop it up and take it to your mechanic to look it up and down.
