was it worth it

for the people on this forum that have seen serious power out of their wrx. was it worth the time to build the motor, tranny, etc. looking back would you change anything like modding the looks, handling, and power. and by serious power i mean built motors pushing high boost and hp higher than 350

Uh well its only worth the trouble if you have the money, time, and love for the WRX.

My buddies got an 03 WRX and hes pushing 500hp and it took him like two years...

It goes back to what people are always saying on here, that it's an all-around performance car. I think if you want something to dump money into that is just going to get you trucking in a straight line as quick as possible, this may not be it. I've never had a car that can handle like this, and it's a lot of fun for me. I have yet to get it to break lose even accelerating on tight turns. Between me and the previous owner, it has about $22k into it, minus the purchase price. I definately wouldn't do it again. But I definatley won't be giving it up anytime soon. I love the car.
