04 STi uses the same strut layout as the WRX. I wouldn't take just the springs, the stock WRX struts are junk. The springs are compatible though, performance aside. The 05 STi has different struts but I am unsure about the springs (they might very well be the same).

Damn he has the stock struts and springs. But the rear knock. And it's off an 05 so does anyone know what else I would need to make the 05 struts fit????? I'm tired of the rough bouncing. And the squared look in the rear

How many miles are on these struts?

The 2002-2003 and 2004-2007 WRX front top hats are not compatible with the other model's springs. You'd need later model top hats for it to work.

Miles are unknown. So if I just got the springs I would have to get the top hats to. Is there anything else tho.and over time I want to get some nice struts and springs. As of now I just want to have the ride smooth and look good not squaring the wrong way.

using 05-07 STi struts would be prohibitively expensive. You need the hubs, which means brakes, which is just a nightmare. Not an option.

04 STi struts are not a big deal to put on a WRX.

I have done this on my 02.
It's the rear tophats that are needed for springs.
I kept my fronts.
I pretty much just gave my STi tophats away to another well respected member

Good deal Chris!

If you need help with the install, just let me know.
Your gonna want spring compressors. You can get ok ones on eBay for around thirty bucks I think.

Also to add to Randys post, you can rent spring compressors from your local auto parts store. You pay a fee for the rental and get the money back when you return the rental. I've rented the kit, for past projects. Works well. I wouldn't buy one unless you're going to use it a lot more than this one time.
Surprised you didn't think of that Randy, being the penny pincher you are. Fol,

I do springs often.
I've used mine seven times in five years. And for the low cost... Ehh

But if you're a one and done.. Rental is for you
