Upgrading my lil turbo

I would most certainly like to move up to a bigger turbo.....I've done my searches.....I would reasonably like to get into the realm of 300-350whp. What steps are an absoloute must before purchasing a turbo and what turbo is recom. for an 08 wrx?
All info and critisism is welcome.

For an aftermarket turbo setup, most people at least get a TBE, bigger injectors, bigger fuel pump, bigger intercooler, and a tune. Many also get a 3 port bcs. As far as exactly what of each to get, it's probably best if you select the turbo you want first and then make sure everything else will support it, preferably with room to spare. Make sure you have enough cash to buy and install everything together because you really need all of that to make the system complete. An STi turbo or 16G turbo is usually a pretty good first step above a stock WRX turbo.

You have a turbo that's practically sandwitched into your intercooler which doesn't leave you many upgrade options. Most turbos (like the STi turbo) won't fit in your setup. A popular choice is the slightly larger turbo out of a 09 WRX. About as far as you can go without changing intake manifolds/setups would be a custom job where they slap in a larger wheel.

Beyond that you could go with the more traditional subaru layout (02-07 WRX, 04-09 STi) or a rotated mount.

Yep the VF52 is the best option for you. All bolt on and you CAN run it with the stock pump and injectors. To get to 300 AWP, you need the pump and injectors. The stock IC will do OK.

Look at OSecuroms & XPT Tuning •Index page about the stage 3 08 wrx. He has pre-made maps with dyno results. Good results.
