Was looking to purchase a Subaru Wrx 02, has a lot of mods. When I was getting on it in the beginning turbo pulled and spooled perfectly, then on way back I got on it one more time and the turbo just cut out? What could be the issue? Too much boost?
It has up pipe, down pipe + invidia exhaust, upgraded top mount intercooler, hks blow off valve, CAI, wastegate and some sort of ECU management as far as the engine goes.
"Some sort of ecu management" not exactly the best thing. I'd go get a protune ASAP or-open source. Is your bov vent to atmosphere? Or recirculate. I'd start with going to a reputable shop and having a tune
Its also currently at 95k on the dash, so I was already gonna flush all the fluids and or change the oil pump/water pump as well to be in good health. Looks like the timing belt had already been changed recently.
I know its a "Stand Alone System" im thinking it's aem and its to the atmosphere. Defiantly gonna take it to a tuner shop though, I don't even know how it would plug up to a laptop or if you need a software install etc.
