trivial improvements in the early years?

I've searched a lot on this and promise to put together a list of all I learned.

I was wondering what the minor changes to creature comforts and such were over the years, particularly the early years up to about 2006? I've heard things like the cupholders got shallower, and of course a major thing like stronger gears, but what else? If you werent particular on the front look of the car, what details would make you prefer one year over the other (such as heated seats, better seats, better radio or less wind noise or...)

^ All the details you're looking for should be listed in that link.

I personally like the Limited package offered for the WRX in 2006 and 2007: leather interior, heated front seats, heated side mirrors, heated windshield wiper area, fog lights, side skirts, and sun roof.

No, they do have the best seats. The latter seats are similar to sitting on cardboard. I say this as someone with a WRX w/ STI cardboard seats and another WRX with stock bugeye seats. The STI seats have a wider seat cushion.
