Thoughts on wrx I would like to buy

Hey everyone, just found another wrx for sale, this one is in my area though and I looked at it today. He's asking $8,500 but said he would take $8,000 which I think is fair. It is owned by an ASE certified lead tech so my guess is it has been maintained fairly well. Just looking to see what you all think about the car itself and the price he is asking. Any input is appreciated.

I just checked KBB on it. The price looks good. Summer&winter tires are a plus. Get it checked out at a different shop that doesn't know him. Do a car fax also. If all is well I'd go for it

All right, where is the distributor cap? I need to find the #1 plug wire to hook up my SUN machine.

I'm with Fid

He apparently is the second owner?

Ask him why he's ditching it. Usually you can tell if it's BS or not.

KBB prices are very high! I would check autotrader and a couple others.

A compression check wouldn't be a bad idea

Did you get an extra set of rims and tires with it? My extra set cost around 1,300 bucks. Your price 7,200+1,300 for rims and tires =8,500. The price still looks good.

I think it's just the extra set of tires from the looks on the pics.

How many miles are on it? Find out if any mods had been done previous to you looking at it. I would say do NOT buy it if anything was modded, just because you do not know if everything was done correctly and in the correct order.
But if the miles check out, and nothing was done to it and the test drive goes well, I would say pull the trigger. WRX is a great vehicle.

I don't think it matters anymore. This posting has been deleted by its author.
