Thinking of buying 1999 WRX

Hey guys im new to the whole turbo scene usually owned V8's time for a change i think!

I have a friend selling a 99 model wrx with a few mods just wondering if these mods are any good or are bad for the engine ill just list a few.

AUTRONIC COMPUTER
3 INCH WASTGATE
PIPEBLITZ NUR-SPEC MUFFLER STAINLESS
HKS FRONT MOUNT INTERCOOLER AND PIPES
STI PISTON & RINGS
STRAIT CUT GEARS IN GEAR BOX
TWIN PLATE EXEEDY TUFF CLUTCH
NOLATHANE BUSHES THROUGHOUT
WHITELINE STRUTBRASE
OVERSIZE SWAYBARS H/D FRONT & BACK
ONBORD BOOST CONTROLE G-READY & DASH GUAGE
TURBO RUNS 21POUND BOOST COMPUTER SET @ 18 TUNED
RADER DETECTOR DEFUSER

My brother said to me that the nolathane bushes would make the car handle like a go kart and the doors might loosen up and and if tightened squash the door rubber which will cause wind noise and maybe water leaks. Has anyone expericed these problems before?

Im also a little worried about the 18psi boost i know the car has STI pistons and rings and the computer has been re mapped but is this enough to handle that kind of pressure?

Thanks Ronnie

Of course, any time you buy a used car, it's going to be a gamble. On that particular car, I'd be concerned because it is 10 years old, the straight cut gears probably mean it has been driven hard, and a boost controller is not the safest way to manage boost. Also, if that list is only "a few" of the mods, it makes me wonder what the other mods are. 18 lbs of boost isn't too terribly high, so I wouldn't worry too much about that. If you know your friend well and his driving/maintenance habits are excellent, it might be worth buying the car if he's giving you a really good deal because depending on the brand of the FMIC, type of turbo, amount of engine internal work, and the gearset - that's a pretty good chunk of money that you won't have to invest if you decide you want bigger power numbers. I don't know... it's hard to make a decision just based on that description.
