Question Test drove WRX wagon, lots of body roll?

I currently own a Prelude and I was interested in buying a new WRX wagon, so I test drove one today. Compared to my lude, it seems to have a lot of body roll (make sense, but it seemed like a lot) I didn't have a chance to really put it to the test on some nice twisties, but I figured it would be better based on the performance #s and the mag write ups. If I bought one, are there good suspension upgrades that would stiffen it up without having to lower it too much (and isn't too expensive). Suggestions and feedback appreciated, especially from wagon owners. I don't want to buy one unless I feel that the handling will be as awesome as everyone says it is. I'm going back tomorrow to drive it more on some curves.

thanks, and this website is great, just found it today!

Anti swaybars do wonders for these cars. You can add some coilovers, but swaybars alone will make a huge difference, and won't negatively affect the drivability.

Keep in mind the wagon weighs 80lbs. more, and that weight is up high in the back. They also come with a smaller rear swaybar for some unknown reason. Simply swapping the rear sway with something bigger helps correct a lot of the roll. Swap out the crap ass stock tires with something that actually grips and you're off to a great start.

Other then that, remember the Subie isn't FWD so you have to set it up for turns different then your Lude, but once you've settled into a turn you'd be surprised at how much grip you'll find.

Cool, thanks for the advice, I was hoping that the sway bar changeout would make a big difference (nice and cheap). I agree, must change the stock rubber...

You're right, setting up for a corner in this car is different than a FWD, I have to remember that...been driving FWD all my life.

thanks again,
