Hi guys. First off, sorry if this has been raised before, but I can't seem to find an answer to this.

I own a 06/07 WRX Wagon. Since I've bought it, the first thing I did was install a CBE. Now that a year has passed (I was waiting for the warranty to expire).. I decided to try add on a DP. My local workshop has offered me a TRUST DP which I aim to fit in this weekend. !Thumbs Up

BUT, whilst researching online, I found this link

WRX Uppipe / Downpipe JSC Speed Subaru WRX & STi Uppipes & Downpipes
Read "06-07 WRX NOTES".
We shouldn't consider a TBE or DP till after a turbo upgrade? WTF!? :nono:

I want to know any comments or experiences you have.

Thanks...

In general, if you have an 06+ WRX with the 2.5 liter engine:

catless downpipe + no engine management = possible boost spiking issues

catted downpipe + engine management = not likely to spike

Although, many WRX owners claim you can use a catless downpipe and be just fine. It depends on what else you have done to your car and the specfic tune. I think the notes you found on that website are just a disclaimer.

All true...a 3 port BCS is also a good solution to boost spike and it also gives you a nicer boost arch. But it'll require a pro tune. :) So, yeah....as long as you do some sort of engine management. You should be fine.
