Suspension Question

I've installed some cobbtuning spring on my car for a few months now and it seems that these springs are messing up my suspension. Also, I cutted the springs. Can anyone tell me if I should look into getting some coilovers for my car and which are the best kinds? thanks.

im sure anyone would tell you that coilovers are a better buy then just springs alone..
from what ive read, having springs alone actually decrease your cars handling.. OEM shocks werent designed to handle aftermarket springs and causes more wear and tear..

i think theres a sticky in the handling section.

as for what coilovers to buy.. it really depends on what you plan on using your car for.
do you plan to keep it a daily driver, AutoX, track days?
after you state your plans for the car, im sure we can suggest some good coilovers for you.

+1 to what hesh said. Your struts were designed to work with a certain spring rate and as you increase the rate you put more wear on the struts. Coilovers are the most expensive upgrade but will give you the best results, aftermarket struts matched with your springs will give you a cheaper alternative. Also, if you cut the springs that will decrease your performance because you have shorten the spring even more and therefore weakened it. If you want a lower stance just get some springs with a lower drop to them and then get a good alignment.
