Searching nets this:
Snorkus Question

And here is what you need:

It's ok to do if you want a different sound.

You can also get a Snorkus Delete elbow. This was the first mod I did on the car along with a panel K&N filter. I noticed a little extra whoosh noise, but nothing compared to what I got when I stepped up to the SPT intake. That sucker is loud. I'm actually changing it this weekend to a Cobb intake with air box so PM me if you're interested.

Here is a video I found of before and after.

Also, here's somebody that didn't like the snorkus delete.

Just FYI, the purpose of the that elbow is to maintain use of the intake scoop under the hood. If you disconnect the scoop from the rest of the intake tract it is no longer functional. Most people like to keep that part when running CAIs in the fenders because "it brings in cold air", but what they don't realize is that air is pulled thru the scoop, not pushed into it.
