Starting issues

I have a 2003 Wrx it is my first Subaru, the car has 156km and only aftermarket pets are an exhaust from cat back. I have driven diesel trucks my whole life so this is a new world to me. I have been doing lots of reading three threads trying to learn as much as I can. I have tried reading threw threads trying to find a solution but figure I would make a post. The issue is starting the car, it is very sensitive you have to give the key just a quick turn and it seems to fire.. if you hold the key it just cranks away. To what I have read and understand this could be from spark plugs, coil pack, fuel pump, crank sensor, timing. And that's a few things to try and narrow down so I'm wondering if anyone has had this issue.. I hear the fuel pump priming and the car seems to run fine so I don't thing it's timing. Any info or solutions would be great thanks!
