To be honest for that insane amount of money you would be just as happy with a kartboy short throw with some bushings for half the price. I am extremely happy with mine easy install. Or go with another well known brand but that is too much money.
Well, that depends on how you drive and what you do.. For setups like mine yes, for most, not really, but they are like springs, they make you "Feel" faster...
my short throw shifter just feels better. Feel is not a speed term, it's a personal preference. I don't like moving my arm the distances of a full throw from first to second. I find it comforting on every shift, regardless of how fast I'm shifting.
"Feel is not a speed term"?? Don't know why you had to throw that in there but ok.. There is going to be little no gain in lets say 1/4 mile times between a short throw and a standard lever with the same driver and same car.. However you will "FEEL" like you are going faster becuase you think your faster shifting is really doing something, just like when you put springs on a WRX.. Tests showed that it actually ran slower times on the track, but most people "Feel" a handling increase becuase we are not professional drivers and can only drive to our personal cumfort level and when the car feels more solid we feel like we can go faster.. So again it's all about "FEEL"..
I never said it made me shift faster or go fast. I just said I like the feel. Sheesh. It makes as much sense as a shift knob ffs but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy it.
I seriously like the "Go Fast Bits" myself, it's adjustable, short as all can be, and a decent price.. I have the OEM short throw in my WRX and I'm going to switch to the "Go fast bits"
Kjott21 is going to post a link to a much cheaper distributor...
