Should I trade in my 05 for an 08?

I have a stock 05 sedan which is pretty much stock except a catback and sti wing, I got a pretty good deal on it a few months ago and I'm wondering if I should trade it in for a 2008 wrx... The 08 I'm looking at has only 50k on it and my 05 has 120k. Both are stock and both are in pretty decent shape. The 08 is for sale at 18k and I bought mine for 10k about 6 months ago, I probably still owe around 8k on my car...

If kbb trade in is accurate then I'd get a little over 9k trade in for my 05... So that's 1000 towards a down payment on the 08.

If I could get a 6 year loan on it, I would be paying around 250-280 a month for the 08 which has way less mileage and is in better shape... And for a car with 50k on it it should last a good while. Where as my 05 will have probably 170k on it by the time I'm out of the loan and will have lost a lot of value. Maybe I'm completely looney here and that's not how it would work at all , I'm only 21 and this is my first nice car.

What would you do?

Also if anyone has moved from a 02-05 to the 08 can you tell me things you like or dislike in comparison?

I like the way my car looks a little better but I think if I get the 08 I can make it look the way I want. Also if I kept the 05 I'd be trying to get to stage 2, but it seems like that would be a waste when I could just try getting into a car with a 2.5 and then go stage 2 and be so much faster. Does the 08 handle/feel pretty much the same except a little more torque?

I'm just confused because I don't want to spend a bunch of money on parts for an 05 and then not be as fast or nice as the 08... The 08 is a wagon and my 05 is a sedan if that matters.

Any opinion, smart ass remarks, help, or jokes are appreciated

Thanks
Nate

No. '08s are very watered down. If you do trade let it be a +'09.

+1 on this, I have an 08. Little watered down, if your trading you should be looking at the 09+ .

Not to mention I got a smoking deal at 14.5k on an 08 with 40k miles on it.

Yeah. I have been hoping for an 09 to pop up because they are faster, I just realized that within the last month my car has lost $1000 in trade in value too... That's crappy... Ill wait till I have more if it pAid off then see what's up

It's various other reason. The '09s come standard with the aero kit that was only optional on the '09 and they do have a slightly better suspension.
