there's nothing wrong with the 08 WRX's. People here are just being stupid because they don't like the looks. Under all that it's the same 2.5L turbo boxer4 from 2006 on. If yon want something you know hasn't been beat on, a new car is what you should go with. Used cars have a lot more headaches, it's true.

An 08 WRX with a TBE, intake, and a cobb AP is going to be low 13s easy. ~$2000

The 08 STi is ridiculously overpriced in my opinion. Same engine and same tranny as four years ago for $6k more! Also, they wouldn't even let me test drive one which I found absurd so I just got a used one instead.

mosc is right, you should really just get what you want, either way you are getting a great engine and with new you get to break it in and youll know no one else has messed it up. you can enjoy the car a little before you mod it and with a subaru even if you break your warranty if you mod right you wont have to worry about a lot breaking. Ive modded slowly (not by choice... im poor) but got my car new and after almost 70,000 miles with good care I have never had a major issue. So if you want new i say go for it, you wont regret it
