Are you asking out of seriousness? If so, logically, how can you start with anything (regardless of how full the tank) 102 OCT and then CUT it with something less and end up with more, or a higher number??

I am with Josh and paulie. The answer is D. Otherwise I would just fill up half a tank of 92 and then top it off with 92 and end up with an octane higher than 92?? Not possible. At least you could have an answer of 97 oct.

d = .5(93) + .5(102)

d = .5(93+102)

d = .5(195)

d = 97.5

...although I think the formula is more complicated (as in not linear) and the final octane number is probably a bit less than that.

e. Not enough information. You'd need the ratio of gas used to determine octane.
