you thing 134k mile is a lot for a WRX?

That's an APv1.

Yes, that's a lot of miles for a WRX. Turbo Subarus don't last as long as N/A ones like your old Brighton.

The mod list isn't half bad. The previous owner knew what he was doing.

Really? That's a bummer. I was hoping to keep this one for awhile lol...Any tips to extend the life, like returning it to stock tuning, synthetic oils, etc???
I know the timing belt and oil pump were changed already, but no idea when.
Other than head gaskets, should I have any major concerns.

I know one thing, the racing seat HAS to go lol...I have an ad posted for a trade for a stocker...

Thanks all for the input!!!!!

I'm not so sure about that. I'm at 94,000mi on the stock turbo and its showing no signs of wear. It still is putting out 13.9 lbs of boost. I think 14.1 is stock new. It still gets the same mpg as it did when it was new. I have used Redline or Royal Purple 5W30 from day 1. Ten years ago. I fully expect to take this car well past the 200,000mi mark.

I think the longevity issue is from people over modding, aggressive tunes or driving them poorly. Don't go wacko, keep up with the maintenance schedule, replace the things that wear out and drive it right and I think you'll be surprised.

Oh,nice car. Enjoy!

All right, where is the distributor cap? I need to find the #1 plug wire to hook up my SUN machine.
