Yeah, you're right. It doesn't happen much, I get weird. Sorry.

And as for Cosmo, he left when I need him the most.

It`s funny that you mentioned the date, ### I was reading through and hesitated to post a reply on this topic till I saw the more recent replies.
Anyway, I idle my rex for a commercial break, the end of a good tune on the radio or some other random time alottment. I am in the HVAC business, however I work for Cummins diesel. I told my buddy/coworker about sitting idle just for "cheap insurance" sake (& being too cheap to buy a tt) and he made a good point. Keep in mind that I am talking about DIESEL TURBOS, but we both drive diesel co. vehicles w/ turbo and we drive anywhere from 5-60 miles to get to and from our jobs on a daily basis. With that said neither I nor any other guy in the shop "idle out". We just shut the ignition and procede to our job. My truck has over 200k and most other trucks in the shop sit @ over 100k miles. Like I said these are diesel and I am new to subes, plus I idle my ride ### it`s mine. I don`t idle my truck ###, well it has over 200k, "if it ain`t broke..."

good point

good point. i am a subie noobie doig some tt research...

and i think that is the most compelling piece of anecdotal evidence.

that is very true - that many stock cars under normal conditons live a long and healthy life without a tt.

thanks all for the discussion!

I'm going to buy a WRX soon (range of 20-40k miles). If I find a car I like should the lack of TT make me look elsewhere?

No, if anything, the car is best 100% stock.
