It's fine. The sensor will be able to meter the air with the stock box/K&N, so you can see a small increase in power. Basically makes room for other mods though.

Well I guess I'll ask a question here about my CAI. Does anybody have the Perrin CAI and feel like they've lost power up top? I'm not sure if it's the intake or just my butt dyno getting used to the car after 6 months but I feel like the car might be holding back a bit with the increased airflow... It still pulls pretty well and I hit 60 pretty quick I just feel like it takes forever to get through the last 1k or so rpm's now.. Maybe I'll have to run a test and put the stock airbox back on and see if I notice a difference.

I got a Perrin CAI and I noticed a BIG difference actually. I recommend it to anyone. Ive never been on a dyno, so cant help you there, sorry. But instantly after installing I noticed a difference and could feel the power. I also didnt have it tuned either at the point either, I read you mensioned you asked about tuning. I didnt tune mine till I bought my downpipe and Perrin TMIC. For awhile the stock ECU was adapting to the MAF readings so I was getting mad MPG, like anywhere from 26- 35mpg! NO JOKE.haha
