I just purchased a 2013 wrx and I already ordered the access port from cobb and changed the air filter to a k&n. I wanted the waste gate dump and thought it would help, needless to say, nothing at all. I don't want a 9 second track car, I just want the car to sound nice and mean, with that beautiful rumble that subaru's have. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanx guys, I'm thinking the stock intake box is suppressing the waste gate noise. Stage 2 is on the agenda, I think down pipe is in the next order, then the exhaust.
If you really want to hear the turbo noise you can get an intake. Just make sure you are tuned for it... I have the Cobb SF intake with the box and the turbo(stock BPV) is very loud.
You will hear your bpv just fine with cobbs set up. The whole deal with the box looks great under the hood as well. I saw a few at our meet this fall and they looked slick to say the least.
