I live In Orono mn, looking to see who else is from around my area?

What should I do first as Performance wise? exhaust, intake, short shifter...?

Any help would be awesome! Im totally new to the wrx, and new to cars.

Thanks, Joey! !Thumbs Up

Cobb Accessport is really the base of all your upgrade paths. If you plan on doing anything past Catback exhaust then I would highly recommend getting one. Especially since the factory tunes on these cars is not fantastic. You can go to stage one with minimal work.
Just remember that you will need to tune for everything you do. If you get turbo back exhaust, you need a tune, if you get short ram you need to tune for it, if you get a BOV you need to tune for it even though you probably would not NEED one for quite awhile. If you tune for every mod you get you should be in the clear.

Also forgot to mention I am from your area. You will want snow tires on a set of crappy rims, or nice rims. You can get a set of scuffed rims and tire combo for fairly cheap. The 04 STi has the same bolt pattern that mates up. (5x100) every other year STi has the 5x114.3 rims.

Welcome, nice to see another Minnesotan. I'm from the Anoka area. I have an '09 and recently did my first set of performance mods. Cobb AccessPort, Invidia downpipe and Q300 cat-back, with Perrin TMIC, and Cobb Air intake. I would suggest after mods getting a dyno tune. I was extremely happy with DBPerformance out of Rogers, MN. Shane knows his stuff. Ditto STI' comment, get a good set of all-terrains (since we have the winter that wont end!)

Right now its has a Turbo XS TurboBack Exhaust System. I plan on getting the COBB Intake + Airbox, and the COBB AccessPort!

Anything else you guys recommend when I upgrade to those parts?!!

Agree that COBB is the base for upgrades. Pro Tune would work, but is not nearly as flexible as the COBB AccessPort.
