n00b needs tips. :D thanks guys.

ok. so heres my story im 17 and i just bought a 2002 wrx wagon.
its incredible i love it so much.
it smells a little funny cause the story behind the car is "sombody stole the car took it on a joy ride diched it and lit the front seat on fire!" but the place i bought it replaced everything so it looks perfect. its in hella condition for an 02. its all stock except for the rims that got put on. so i really like the car and it only cost 5 grand because the seller is a family friend so im now driving a silver 2002 wrx wagon with 91 thousand miles. ive got it tuned up oil and fluids changed. yadda yadda. it runs perfect. but i want more. :D i dont know too much about cars to be honest but ive done tons of research and i know a bit about popular mods. but i really would like tips and brands of things that would be good. i want to upgrade it but i dont want too much. any tips?

So you have your Cobb Access Port as a popular flash tool for a base tune. If you have a laptop and are computer savy there are a few other cheaper options for base tunes. That in combination with a turbo back exhaust would be the best start. I think all would agree. I would stay away from no name, ebay systems and go with your Perrin or Cobb downpipes (or other reputable company), and whatever quality name brand cat back you want based on how loud you want it to be. I personally would not put no name parts on my car. It may be Cliche, but so true..you get what you pay for. Considering your car gets you where you need to go everyday I would not cut corners to save money. !Thumbs Up Welcome! Congrats on the purchase!

That is well put by stagger. Do you have a goal in mind for the car? Just a quicker DD? Maybe autoX once and awhile? I would definetly start with EM and at least a DP if its in your budget, flash a stage 2 map and see what you want from there.

Agree with everyone!! It all depends where you want to go with it. Also depends on your bank account.. But go with their saying. DP and some EM then see how you like it. COBB is user friendly and popular. Congrats again!

There are also other downpipes that are cheaper but just as good quality. Helix, Invidia...there's a couple more but i cant remember them right now. Just do the homework on them.
