Heres my story.
During middle school i was the kid who didnt know all the exotic car names and stuff and i still dont.
But in high school i got my first car and i used that to learn more about cars. So i really only know a lot about the car that I have now. I baby it and i have learned A LOT about cars and how they work...im still a noob tho.
But since i will be having two jobs and I want to invest in a different car. But idk what to get. Im a noob at driving stick, like i can drive it, but im not like pro or anything.
Anyways, im looking for a car i want to buy, but i dont know a lot of cars so i cant really tell what is good and what isnt, you know what I mean?
All i know is that I want sporty, quick, good handling, and good on gas.
And so what you guys have told me i have found out that buying an wrx is probably not the car that I want because it will cost a lot between buying, maintaining, and insurance....
so im trying to figure out what I should get.

Sorry if i dont know a lot about cars, but im truly trying my best to learn.
Take a look at a nicely done Honda. Seriously if done right they can be real fun to drive.(go easy guys) my cousin is a Honda guy...I used to be as well. For 5500 you could find a nice(ish) crx si. Like driving a go cart. Easy to learn to drive a manual trans also. And almost no matter what you do engine wise you will still get decent gas mileage...within reason. Just my .02.

I was actually thinking about this yesterday. They are cheap and easy to mod as well. TONS of aftermarket parts available and with the vtech engine, they are fast! But i hate the idea of having a honda....
i dont want to be apart of the honda fart can stereotype
its a shame because that would prob be the best car for me in my current situation... and might be what i might end up doing.
got any idea for some?

Had an 88 honda accord it got like 30 mpg and the odometer stopped reading at like 299k and still runs to this day. That being said very reliable i agree i think honda maybe the way to go. Youll be able to whip that car around

I'm partial to the crxs... Handling machines! Just leave the stock muffler on there.

gunk007 is more helpful than not
I had 3 different Preludes and I really liked them .The newer ones with the Vtec have some get up and go. FYI - They stopped making then in 2001 or 02 (i think) so it would be an older car.

OK, now time to do homework young grasshopper.
your going to want to research suspension upgrades, power, maintenance..so on and so forth.

These cars are very easy to learn on. and they can be as fun as any other when done right.

Good Luck man! That was a very hard but yet wise choice on your behalf....

'95 Civic HB SI...fun little car....easy to upgrade...pretty much impossible to destroy the motor with standard bolt ons....

but i agree with the above....stick with the stock exhuast if you dont want to be looped into the ricer category...
