do yourself a favor and get 17x8" wheels at +48 and with 235/40R17 tires. You'll thank me in the morning.

Your ideal offset is stock no matter the tire and wheel width. There is some argument that you should reduce offset as you increase tire width due to the center of weight being moved but this is very slight and I doubt you'll be adding more than 10-30mm of additional tire. In other words, stock offset is best.

Looking for Wheels. -Questions

Yeah, but we all know finding an 8" wheel with an et47 or higher is slim to none lol! An et45 at least opens up a LOT more options...

Buying wheels just sucks OP unless you got $2k+ for custom builds. Some day they'll smarten up and run 5x114 and solve all problems.

I found over a dozen options on tire rack. For example, Sparco Tarmac available in 17x8 or 18x8 +48

No, I'm talking about good looking wheels though Mosc...lol! 😜

By saying slim to none I meant more finish/style and that aren't worn by 5 other Subarus at your local meets, that's all.

They're out there though OP...keep digging!

Have been searching just for wheels that will even fit my car properly - not even looking at styling and its taken forever.

The best I've found is 18/8 ET45 (and maybe one +48)

17's that are 8 wide you say? No. Just no. ET 40 or less. Most of them are ET 35-38.

To the point that I just don't even want to bother. Because the ones that I have found cost a small fortune. I'd like like a set UNDER 1000. Preferably in the 800 range. (OR LESS).

" not even looking at styling and its taken forever."

Then you're doing it wrong no offense. You are saying you can't find 17x8" +48 5x100 wheels? It's probably the most common size/offset combo on the market for the WRX. It's hard to even NAME a major wheel manufacturer that doesn't offer at least one product in that configuration. I already mentioned sparco which are cheap cheap on tirerack, OZ has several which are reasonably priced and light, Rota makes about a dozen different styles in that size, Enkei, Volk, BBS, Kosei even makes one with +50 at 17x8 5x100. Probably more chinese knock-off brands than I can list too.

Sparco Assetto, 17x8 +48 or 18x8 + 48, less than $800 brand new for the set, available in several colors.

Cheaper? ANDROS Spec D (silver) chinese knock-off XXR looking thing but a still reasonable 18.25 lbs a corner for 17x8" +48 5x100. 4 of em are yours brand new for $476 total (plus tax and shipping). Same price for Sparco Tarmac's in gunmetal (slightly heavier). I could keep going and I only visited one website!

I guess I should tell you my second dilemma - I'm looking at companies/supplies in CANADA. Tirerack.com has atleast 100 sets that fit my car both 17/18. However the 350$ shipping is killing me.

I did find these... Wish I could see what they looked like ON a car.

I really enjoy those brimmer kraft wheels as well.

Too bad I can't find a company in Canada lol.

Those were gonna be my choice before I found mine. There's only like 2 sites that sell Bremmer wheels though. Sucks shipping is so ridiculous to Canada...

Yep. Tirerack wants 250-300$ shipping plus whatever hidden duty fees I get when it hits my door.

Makes a 600$ set of rims over 1200$ with tax/duty/shipping.

Which makes me cringe. I put a hit out on nasioc to see if anyone knows a CANADIAN distributor - doesn't have to be brimmer kraft- just decent wheels.
