Allright i know im but i want a final answer

(and notice i posted this in the newbie section)

Tell my how to break in my new short block. Please for the love of all the is holy, will someone give me the defenitive answer. Do i drive the crap outta the thing to get the rings to seal, or do i take it nice and slow and then let it have it around 1000 miles? I've read a bunch of stuff on here and the rest of the net, but i want to kno what you guys think

Drive for around 1000 miles at varying rates of speed. Don't do laps around the city, mix it up, some city, some highway, and I wouldn't really get on it that hard untill after the breakin.

I just, JUST got done with mine. I did the full accelleration and full deceleration twice in the first 50 miles, then stayed out of boost and kept it below 3k for the next 500 miles. Then I started easing into the 4k range until 1000 miles. I'm blowing blue smoke like crazy. Take that info and do what you want with it, I think I'm doomed to burn oil.

you have to get it into some boost to seat the rings. after that like some other people said mix up the type of driving.

Do not hit max boost untill over the first 1500 miles.Maybe get a "break in" tune or just run wastegate pressure untill the breakin period is over.Do not use synthetic for the breakin period.I alo would not be running it up to redline line either.Call Crawford or Axis and ask them what they recommend for their motors.
