So i got frustrated today when i was stuck behind someone turning left in morning traffic. I punched it in first and did a pretty good launch inadvertently. I have my turbo timer set to warn when i go above 1.39 bar, and it warned me. I went to 1.41 bar. Ive never gotten this high in first gear. My car has been dyno tuned, but i thought they would have left the boost restricted in first gear. Should i complain to them about this or is it comon to leave the boost unrestricted in first after a custom tune?

Ya it may have been a spike. I really dont want to have to go deal with the place that tuned my car but oh well. This is the first time ive seen this in my car.

The shop said the boost in 1st and 2nd was not limited, and that it should not get that high but it is possible that it could briefly. I will check for problems leading to the spike but I think it was an isolated incident. Never had my car break a wheel loose though. If i ever make it to the track all i will need for a good launch is some one to get me good a pissed by trying to turn left infront of me.

I hope that you can get this figured out, it sucks. When I installed my EBCS, the same thing happened to me. Mine was from not being adjusted properly though. I hit 24 psi... But, now I have everything straightened out, I hit 1.15 bar solid and everything's good again.
I hope for the best for you though. Sorry for going OT.
