i have an issue...

ok so i have the stock 215/55/16 on my 2002 WRX. the wheel well is huge, already has a big ugly gap (atleast for the front). i was planning on going 235/40/17 but i kno that will look hideous with that massive hole. coilovers are definately on my list but right now money is a big issue n that's probably the last thing i could afford. so i figured i'd go with racing springs in the meanwhile. do u think it will look ok if anybody has this setup with pictures or anything?? i'd really appreciate cuzz i'm ready for tires but still debating whether i should do this or not. n coilovers will definately give me a bigger drop than springs, right?? thnx guys

Some springs are really low and coilovers are adjustable so the look is up to what you want. You should find springs that will work with you stock struts if you want the drop for cheap. Tein, swift, eibach, prodrive, etc will give you a little drop, work with your struts, and not destroy your handling. Some of these can be found for $200 or less.
