I am Crazy!

Well I have posted here a few times letting everyone know that I was in the market for a new WRX and I was having trouble with color choice. I did test drive the WRX and there was something about it I didn't like. Some asked what I didn't like about it and I never answered them as I was hunting down a new car. There was just something I didnt like about this current designed WRX and the color choices. As I was using 2 dealers for pricing one told me about a new body change coming. I asked for info and one dealer here in NY told me the GM of the dealership will be running part of the NY Auto show and he would get me info. As usual I got no info. So I went out and purchased a 2013 Hyundai Veloster in Limited Matte Gray paint 3 weeks ago. A couple days ago I log onto the web and BAMMM! the new concept WRX staring me in the face. Now I kick myself, screaming at the computer and my wife says, "Let's not start this again!". I'm no stranger for selling new cars within 6 months of purchase and know what you lose as soon as you drive it off the lot. Most of my friends always ask me to purchase a certain car they like knowing I will probably get rid of it and they will buy it and and save money. So................ as soon as I saw that concept and this video...Subaru WRX Concept - 2013 New York Auto Show - YouTube

I knew I made a snap judgement and the wrong decision. So much so I had to get rid of this car ASAP as to save monthly payments and wait out this new design. Here's my crazy part. I just re-sold my new 13 to the dealer today within 3 weeks and lost close to $8,000. I am now at least payment free and can wait out this new WRX. I know, I know this is nuts. And to be honest I just refinanced my home for a better rate and got around $8,000 back so I call it money that I never had anyway. Or at least that's the way I have to look at it. SO, I now wait this new WRX as i have owned a new 2005 before and loved it. I am crazy, I know. But I love cars!

I went from a vt to an sti. I guess you made your decision based off the matte paint. Good luck w the up keep. I read/hear horror stories w that paint. I guess that's why Hyundai will not bring it back after there first and only year having it. There was something u didnt line about a wrx? And you couldn't explain it? I can make a 50 things I hated about the VT. but I'm also like you. I never hold onto my cars lol

I'm not sure your reading this thread right. I don't have the VT anymore so there isn't any upkeep. But on the contrary I had no problem with the paint and to be quite honest after 30 cars in the last 10 years it was the easiest to keep clean. Anyway, I don't have it and I want the new WRX which I believe will look very, very close to this design. If I'm wrong I will just move to the all newly designed 2015 Mustang.

concept car

I saw the new concept Subaru at the Auto Showit is sweet lookin the only thing is it might not come out for several years. Not sure if that's going to be the new design for 2014 you may be waiting for a while if you have your heart set on that design....

Please correct me if I'm wrong but concept vehicles usually aren't produced in large numbers for retail sale.

I wouldn't call you crazy, ignorant maybe. $8,000 off the value you bought the car for, less than a month ago and the $8,000 you got from refinancing your home isn't money you never had it's money you threw away on a hasty decision. You could have bought a pre-owned car for that and wouldn't have car payments.

Why would you buy a Veloster anyways? They are fugly. Anywho, I would say to wait and find a car that you actually want to keep. Although, I am the same way. I bought an Audi A4 1.8t, and then sold it 7 months later for a 2013 WRX.
