humming noise from new tires?

i kinda heard this noise w/ balding front tires. Now I got new tires and the noise is a little louder. Seems to only be coming from the front, while near about 30mph. This normal? Anybody?

when tyres roll on tar they do make a "normal" humming noise, character and loudness depending on how much you paid for them just kidding depends on the rubber.

now is it normal? i dont know. does you car drive normal? no pulling to one side? no jerking/bouncing? then probably you can only hear at 30 because when you go faster the wind noise is louder than the tyre noise and when you go slower there isnt enough noise to hear.

hmmm.

Are the tires on straight? If they are directional tires (there will be an arrow on the tire showing you what way to put it on), and you put them on backwards, it will hum a lot and the tire wont be effective.

well they're firestone/bird GT's i dunno how good they are but seemed way better that stock. And they put em on. The noise sounds almost like the cooling fan but deeper. I can hear the normal tire noise at lower speeds but was just wondering. If it gets louder then I'll worry, but it seems fine and drives WAY better.
