Head porting&polishing

Hey i was wondering how much possible hp i can gain with useing stock springs and valves etc, but porting and polishing the head on my 2002 wrx(ej20)

Not much if you change nothing else about the car (cams,turbo,exhaust,tuning).

well im going to run 3 inch exhaust from the cat back with a flowmaster muffler untill i can afford a better muffler and i am makeing a cold air intake for it. I am basically looking for all the little things to do untill i have the money to do the big stuff

Ditch the cold air intake, it will do more harm than good And you will not gain a lot of hp if any with a cat back exhaust. Also there are plenty of mods you can do before you start working on the engine itself, read the forums.

For the love of all things holy don't use that flowmaster on your car. They are probably one of the worst mufflers to use on a turboed car. Look in to EM, plenty of room to grow and learn about your car and what makes it tick before going all out and dumping a ton of money into useless parts....
