Grammar and Punctuation.
There's been alot of careless typing lately and it needs to end. We're all old enough now to type like we have some sense. I've been cleaning up alot of posts lately and this takes away from the whole focus of this site, and that is to help people.
There are a few tools in place to help show you that your post has errors, and to help you avoid them in the first place. If you're typing and when your done you notice alot of X's in it that you didn't type, then you need to go back and edit your post. This is not a glitch. There's also a "spell check" button right next to the "submit" button. Please use this.
This is one of the better WRX sites on the net, and personally, I'd like it to stay that way. When other people see the lack of thought put into some of the posts around here, it gives a negative impression of who we are as a community. Please remember this when you post.
When you type a tech question, please make sure that it's legible. How do you answer something that leaves you scratching your head wondering "what the heck did he/she say"?
What you say and how you say it says alot about you as a person. How do you want to be perceived?
I am bringing back Stacy's Grammar tirade after editing no less than 24 posts in this thread as well as the topic title itself:
You guys need to take a LITTLE bit more time when you post to clean up obvious typos and maybe even run a spell checker. Look, I'm a terrible speller too (no lie, check my sig) but I at least put in a small bit of effort to make sure what I'm writing is readable. That's all I'm asking here!
The site filters out U R and C U Z because they are not words. Please don't bypass them and when you see it star them out like curse words, FIX them!
Take this as a warning.
Another reminder since there has been an influx of slang/profanity getting caught in the site's automatic filter.
