hey i have 05 sti and i was getting an hks carbon-ti with a godspeed upipe and godspeed dpipe, if i got it tuned properly would you think this set up would be fine? i have been told not 2 get an up pipe but i wanted to see what you guys thought! thanks foor looking.
As long as the DP is a bellmouth you will be set. The up pipe to me is a waste of money. Yours is already catless. I had to change mine when I did my turbo because the bolt stripped. So if you want to save some money, skip the up pipe. Just my .02cents.

its unnecessary, you would just be paying extra for the pipe to say godspeed instead of subaru, they are both the same diameter piping and are both catless, there wouldnt be any performance gains
I agree, the aftermarket up pipe isn't necessary. I'd also recommend a Stage 2 tune when you install the aftermarket downpipe.
Have you installed any of your parts yet? How do you like your HKS Carbon-Ti exhaust? That's the same cat back I have on my 07 WRX. I really like the way mine looks and sounds.

heyy thanks for replyingg, no i havent installed my exhaust or downpipe yet but the exhaust does look sweet but i was hoping to get a sr intake and the cobb accessport before so i can install all/tune at the same time..thats why i was wondering how long i could go without a tune with just the exhaust and the downpipe but i guess ill just wait!
No prob.. you can install the cat back any time - no need to worry about tuning for that. In fact, I installed my cat back a week or two before I installed my downpipe and flashed to Stage 2 with my AP because I just couldn't wait.
