Fuel cleaner

Hey there guys and girls it's been a while since Ive been on and now i have a question.

I am still pretty new to having a turbo car and one that runs on premium gas. my question is should use fuel cleaner once in a while to keep everything clean or dose running 93 oct like I'm doing not build up a whole lot of gunk in the system?

Just thought id ask because this isn't a project WRX its my baby and my D2D so I want it to be around and running like new for as long as it can. Thanks

I like to throw a bottle of STP fuel injector cleaner in my gas tank every 30k or so. I do it at the same time as the rest of the factory recommended maintenance so I don't forget. According to my tuner, being consistent with the type of gas you use is more important. I use Shell 93 as much as possible.

ok thanks.. so stp is good then? I used to use lucus full fuel system cleaner in my old car it worked good but i didn't know what to use for my WRX.

I know its off topic but up here in NH i found a shell station and for 93 oct it was $3.60 I thought i was in heaven ahah.

Most fuel treatments are snake oil.

ya thats what i figured but i got confused because my friend was talking about some sea foam stuff and said that was the best. i don't know though ive only used the one from lucus.

haha... I've tried them all but think about it. There is no magical fuel tank additive that is "end all". These 3 together are IMHO.
