Stage 1 will have some gain, but not very much. It's more for smoothing out the power band. It's more a driveability improvement.

ok, i just bought the exhaust from borla and was just wondering if anyone else had any experiences with this product, it is the 14978 borla aggressive style exhaust. just wanna know if the sound is too much or not. I think im gonna do all that tuning when i get more experience. i think the os tuning is more for expert modders, and that i am not. also I heard this particular set up was hard to mate with an aftermarket 3" down pipe, is this true, or is there an easy alternative? i also heard that an up pipe is suggestive for my car for longevity reasons. just wanna make sure my 120,000 mile car will last another 120,000. any info would be coo!

Yes, get an up-pipe from a 04-07 STi or a 06-07 WRX. They do not have cats in the UP.

Not sure about the ease of install with that CB. The only thing that MAY give you a headache will be the flange to the DP. Are you puting the CB on first without the DP?
