Exclamation Con Rods ?

could someone please post a link or explain to me where exactly the con rods are on an engine ?? diagrams would help :P

I am assuming you mean CONnecting rods. Connecting rods are what is between the piston head and the crankshaft. Some people may consider them to be a part of the "piston assembly". Please google "connecting rods" for pictures and diagrams.~^^

ok thanks i will do that, also i am told that in stock subarus they're tuned with too much ignition timing resulting in connection rod detonation. if you could give me a little more insight to this that would be great.

Detonation does not occur on the rods, it occurs on the pistons. I've never heard of this being a problem on V7 STIs. Those are stout motors.
