Cobb intake, airbox, and hose question

So I'm pretty interested in purchasing the short ram intake, the air box, and the post MAF hose from cobb, but I have a couple questions first. Is the intake as loud with the airbox as it is without it? Secondly, if I do get the post MAF hose, would I need a tune for that? If I do, will the cobb stage 2 map with the access port work with it? Thanks for the help everyone

I don't mean to discourage you from what you're looking to do, but many would probably advise you to focus on upgrading the exhaust side before the intake side of the engine. Additionally, off the shelf maps have their own list of required parts. It may be something you want to research a bit more. I am sure that others will add their suggestions when they have a moment.

I agree^^ most OTS maps require you to have a full exhaust work first before anything

You might be happy for a few months on just the Stg1 OTS map till you can get more $ together for the turbo-back. Meaning, get the AP first and then look into the other stuff.

I can't tell you if it's louder without the box, but it is loud with the box. You should definitely get tuned with the intake. If you have a downpipe the stage 2 map will work but I would highly recommend getting a tune specific for your car. It was a night and day difference for my car.

i agree, I just flashed the Stage 1 with Cobb ap, and i was quite surprised definately a difference. Try it out, it is worth the money. I am installing Cobb DP and Borla Cat back and the Cobb SF intake this weekend, then flash Stage 2. I will post results.
